Our Story

Senior Move Managers was founded in 2016 by Bradley Fraser and Paul Lawrence. The initial idea came to Brad after helping his grandmother move into a Retirement Village and seeing the stress that came with it for her and her family.

After that Brad and Paul, who are highschool friends, observed numerous families who had found themselves in situations where they either had no support when moving home, or simply the process of organising and executing a move became too overwhelming, physically and mentally.

Brad and Paul realised that many older people are unprepared for the chaos and stress associated with moving a lifetime of possessions into a house half the size, especially at a time in life when people may become physically frail. That’s when Senior Move Managers was born!

"I completed a BSc from the University of Otago in Microbiology/ Immunology and Pharmacology & Toxicology and a PGDip in Public Health from the University of Otago. With the Army I deployed to the Solomon Islands for a peacekeeping mission in 2009-2010 I lectured Anatomy and Physiology for AUT for paramedic students for two years before I left to play American football in Australia and play professionally in Germany"

My role within Senior Move Managers has been looking after building our Business to Business relationships with providers, HR, Marketing and all Sales. As we’ve grown, having specific people join us to head up these areas of the business means we can accelerate our growth, and also more effectively manage the culture and personnel within the business."
