COVID-19 updated 09 June 2020
We are now at Alert Level-1 in New Zealand and everyone has played a significant part - well done NZ!
As an essential service provider we were able to continue working during the lockdown and as we moved down through the Alert Levels. Moving was one less thing for you and your family to worry about. Now that we are at Alert Level-1, we will continue to practice our health and safety procedures to ensure our vehicles and offices are clean, are staff are well, and we can help you in a safe and responsible manner.
Our teams are ready to make this move stress free and easy.
As we work closely with retirement villages and those in the elderly community, the team at Senior Move Managers want to ensure you we are taking every necessary precaution and measure possible to mitigate any transmission of disease or infection.
Now that New Zealand has moved to Alert Level-1, although we are able to relax our precautionary COVID-19 measures, we are still going into flu-season and will use what we learnt during COVID-19 to minimise any flu or flu-like illnesses being spread among our clients and community.
Senior Move Managers staff have been instructed to:
Remain home if unwell
Practice proper hygiene, i.e washing and drying hands thoroughly
Utilise hand sanitiser when entering and exiting the SMM office as well as client’s homes
Reduce any unnecessary physical contact with our clients - hand shakes, hugs etc
Follow all instruction from village staff and clients when on site or in their homes
We will also maintain our regular cleaning schedules for our company vehicles and local offices to make sure they remain clean and as germ free as possible at all times.
All SMM vehicles have hand sanitiser in them at all times with excess stock available at each office.
Despite being at Alert Level-1, the health and safety of everyone we are working with remains paramount.
We will continue to make sure our staff remain healthy, and the health of our clients is top of mind at all times.
